CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE
Creatine Kinase Isoenzymes MB (CK-MB) is one of the three isoenzymes of creatine kinase. CK-MB is mainly present in the myocardium, and other tissues are almost non-existent. Clinically Isozyme (CK-MB) is considered to be a specific and sensitive indicator of myocardial injury, and Its total activity ratio with CK can be used as a basis for diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction.
