  • INTENDED USE

The CRP/SAA (C-reactive Protein/Serum Amyloid A) Detection Kit (Fluorescence Immunochromatography) is used for vitro quantitative determination of CRP/SAA (C-reactive Protein/Serum Amyloid A) in human serum and plasma. For professional in vitro diagnostic use only.

  • CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE

CRP(C-reactive Protein) is an acute protein that rises sharply in the serum when the body is infected or damaged. It plays an important protective role in the body's natural immune process. CRP is extremely low in normal human serum, and it can rise sharply within a few hours when tissue is damaged, inflammatory, and infected. It can increase several times or hundreds of times, peaking in 2-3 days, and gradually decreasing when the condition improves. CRP is widely used in early diagnosis and differential diagnosis of clinical diseases.

SAA (Serum Amyloid A) is an acute phase protein that can spike in blood concentration within hours during inflammatory, infectious, and non-infectious diseases, up to 1000 times its original concentration. A particularly important property of SAA is that its degradation products can be deposited in different organs in the form of amyloid A fibrils which is a serious complication in chronic inflammatory diseases; The rise of SAA was also seen in atherosclerosis, diabetic nephropathy, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease, and hate kidney disease. Similar to CRP, it is used to evaluate the acute reaction process.

CRP/SAA (C-reactive Protein/Serum Amyloid A) Detection Kit can help the operator to distinguish the bacterial infection and viral infection, and improve the accuracy of clinical diagnosis of infectious diseases.
